We’re a small team that came up running real businesses with a phone line that never stopped — the kind of shop where the phone is the front door. We built Call My Agent so our businesses — and yours — could stop answering and start working.

The story

Why this exists.

If you’ve ever run a busy shop, you know the call you hate most: 6:47 PM, you’re elbow-deep in the actual work, a customer wants to book for Friday at 8, and somebody has to break away to handle it. Then it’s the supplier ringing back at 9. Then a robocall about a car warranty in the middle of a job. The phone is the front door, and the front door never closes.

The phone was a thing we paid people to manage and a thing that managed us back.

We tried the obvious things. Hiring an answering service was expensive, and they couldn’t actually make calls on our behalf — we still ended up on hold with a supplier at 11 PM. Voicemail-to-text lost jobs and bookings. The AI tools that started showing up only answered. None of them could call back, sit on hold, or book a thing.

So we built Call My Agent. It answers, it makes calls, and it never pretends to be a person. We run it in our own businesses. We’re shipping it now because every small business owner we know — trades, clinics, salons, kitchens, firms — is fighting the same phone.

Four things we believe.

A missed call is a missed customer.

You know it the second you see the voicemail light — someone needed you and you weren’t there. It shouldn’t happen because you were on a ladder, in a chair, or asleep.

Nobody wants to feel handled.

Your callers are your regulars, your neighbors, the person you’ll see at the hardware store. People can tell when they’re being processed. Answering them straight — including saying when it’s not a person — is just how you’d do it yourself.

It’s your name on the door.

No one should make a promise in your name but you. The tools you bring in answer to you, not the other way around. Easy to step in, easy to shut off, and yours to fix when it gets something wrong.

What you build belongs to you.

You earned your customers and your reputation. They’re not someone else’s asset to sell or train on. What’s yours stays yours.
